Archimedes' Method, Part 2

Background

We are going to return to the data you collected for the previous project on Archimedes' Method, and analyze the data in another way.

Data

Recall the data from Part 1 of the project.

Problems

1.      Find the line which best fits the data.  How good is the fit?

2.      Draw the log plot, and describe the graph.  Using the log plot, find the exponential function which best fits the data.  How good is the fit?

3.      Draw the log-log plot of the data.  Describe this graph.  Using the log-log plot, find the power function which best fits the data.  How good is the fit?

4.      What is the best model you can find for the data?  How good is the fit?  Is this what you would expect?  Were the errors in your measurements sufficient to account for any discrepancies?
