Kevin Lanning received his Ph.D. in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley and has served at Florida Atlantic University since 1998, where he is a Full Professor in the Wilkes Honors College.  He is Editor-in-Chief of Analyses of Social Issues and Public Policy, and has published over 30 books, chapters, and papers in psychology, politics, and measurement. In addition, he has edited volumes on the Social Psychology of the 2004 and 2008 U.S. Presidential Elections, as well as on Democracy and Disenfranchisement. His current research focuses on the psychological foundations of political liberalism/conservatism.
