![]()
Dr. Paul Kirchman (pkirchma@fau.edu). Office is MHC 175; office hours are TBA
Dr. Kevin Lanning (lanning@fau.edu). Office is MHC 145; office hours are TR 3:30-4, WF 10-11 & 12-1, and W 4-5.
There is one textbook for the class:
Carey, G. (2003) Human genetics for the social sciences. Thousand Oaks, CA: Sage. (Website.)
Grades will be based on three factors, equally weighted:
You will be asked to lead discussion of a chapter of the text during one meeting.
You will be expected to attend and contribute a thoughtful question to at least seven of the remaining meetings. For credit, you should email your question to Dr. Lanning no later than noon the day before class. Please put Behavior Genetics in the subject line of your email so that it doesn't get tossed as spam.
There will be a term paper between four and ten pages in length which will cover a topic in your assigned chapter.
Class will consist of 10 80-min meetings (from 4:15 to 5:40) on the following dates. Please bookmark this site (http://wise.fau.edu/~lanning/psy3932) to view updates:
