Top tips

Come to all the lectures.

Read the relevant chapters in the text book, and read other related books.

Take notes (and make sure you can read them afterwards).

Transcribe your notes after each class.

Give yourself tests on material you have studied.

Work in small study groups (two to four people).

Talk over material with other students, friends and anyone else who is interested.

Work regularly and frequently.

Don’t overdo it, and don’t rush it.

If you don’t understand, or want to know more -- ask questions !

Make sure you study regularly, don’t just wait until the night before the exam!

Focus on understanding (general) rather than memorizing facts (specifics).

To get an A grade--

Come to every class, be alert and take notes.

Do your homework (reading, revision and practicing).

Answer every test question (correctly). :-)
