Welcome to the Department of Theatre and Dance. We are a community of artists and scholars dedicated to teaching, researching and serving dance and the theatre arts in southeastern Florida.

Theatre has been an integral part of Florida Atlantic University since its inception, and that tradition continues through our undergraduate and graduate programs.

We focus on the processes of theatre and dance production, and our students are encouraged to become involved in the creation of the performing arts from their first day on campus. The Department's programs are built on developing students as individuals through practical production experiences, developing their skills in studio classes, and enriching their creative abilities through academic classroom experiences. We endeavor to look at each student's personal desires and goals within the framework of a solid education.
