PROCTORED CORRESPONDENCE TESTING
Florida Atlantic University offers a secure testing environment for proctoring correspondence exams from other institutions or businesses.
REGISTRATION PROCESS
Please read carefully though all the steps before starting the registration process:
- Click here to register and pay for your exam.
- Notify Testing and Evaluation at Florida Atlantic University that you have registered for a proctored exam by email only.
- Contact your institution to have your test sent to FAU and complete any required documentation.
- When your test arrives, you will be contacted by the Testing and Evaluation office to schedule your appointment date and time (no appointment date or time will be scheduled without receipt of the exam). Testing hours are 9:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. All tests must be completed by 4:30pm.
The fee for a computer based exam is $78 and $58 for a paper/pencil exam. Effective July 1, 2009 this fee applys to both FAU and Non-FAU students. All correspondence testing is done by appointment only, all testing fees are non-refundable and the test may not be rescheduled. Please allow at least 7 business days for the Testing Office to receive your test and schedule your appointment.
ON TEST DATE
Please bring your government issued photo ID, your PrepBlast receipt and a pre-paid envelope addressed to your home institution. Testing and Evaluation will not provide mailing materials or provide postage for any exams returned due to insufficient postage. Computer based correspondence tests do not require a postage paid envelope.
PARKING
If you do not have an FAU parking decal you must park in the visitor's parking lot. This is metered parking. For more information regarding visitor's parking visit the Traffic and Parking page.
ACCOMMODATIONS
The FAU Testing Center willingly provides special test accommodations for all candidates who qualify for non-standard test administrations. Please send all documentation to FAU Testing Center no later than two weeks prior to your test date. You can fax your documentation to (561) 297-0170 or drop it off at our office in the Student Support Service Building, SU 80 Room 210.
Documentation of your accommodations must:
- be current— i.e., completed within the past few years for disabilities not of a permanent or unchanging nature.
- describe the specific accommodations requested
- adequately support each of the requested testing accommodation(s)
- be typed or printed on official letterhead and be signed by an evaluator qualified to make the diagnosis.
