Policy for
All Non-FAU Affiliates
Requesting
Breezeway Tables
-
Reservation forms for outside vendors to sell or market their
goods/products on the Breezeway, can be found and submitted on the
website at
www.fau.edu/sda.

On the reservation form, in the space provided, the vendor must
include the name of the business/vendor and a description of the
items to be sold, advertised, or marketed. As well as an address
and phone number.

Reservations
for vendor space on the Breezeway must be made at least seven (7)
business days in advance.

Vendor
sales/Information tables may begin any time after 10:00 a.m. and
must end promptly at 2:00 p.m.

The vendor will receive a confirmation letter via e-mail within
five (5) business days of when the reservation was submitted.
The vendor
must have a copy of the confirmation e-mail with them during the
time they are present on the breezeway.

Only SIX
tables are available for vendors each day.

Florida
Atlantic University will provide up to two (2) 6 ft. tables and
four (4) chairs for each vendor. These tables will already be set
up at the specified location on the Breezeway that was
communicated with the vendor. There will be a paper on the table
with vendors name on it. The table location numbers are painted
on the ground of the Breezeway. See #15 for cost of tables.

Each vendor
MUST use the tablecloths provided by the Office of Student
Development and Activities on their table. This is how the Office
of Student Development and Activities knows the approved vendors
on the Breezeway for that particular day.

NO AMPLIFIED
SOUND IS ALLOWED ON THE BREEZEWAY.
This includes radios and boomboxes.

All vendor
items should be placed on the tables or within the immediate
vicinity of the tables so as to not block the walkways or impede
pedestrian traffic.

NO CREDIT
CARD, BANK, CELLULAR/PAGING, OR PHONE CARD VENDORS ARE ALLOWED TO
RESERVE SPACE IN THE BREEZEWAY except for those vendors that have
an affiliation or exclusive agreement with the University.

No selling or
passing out of food, drugs, or alcoholic beverages.

There will be a charge for EVERY Non-FAU Affiliate that wants to
sell or market their goods on the Breezeway.

Free tables are only available for registered FAU Student Clubs or
Organizations, Student Government and their Agencies, and
University Departments.

The Office of
Student Development and Activities fee for all Non-FAU Affiliates
is $55 per day for one table. The second table will cost an
additional fee of $20.00. For FAU students wanting a table the fee
is $25 per day. FAU students must show an FAU Owl Card to get
this reduced rate.

Checks or
Money Orders must be made payable to Florida Atlantic University.
Cash can not be used as payment.

Payment must
be received in person on the first day of sale. It must be
dropped off to the Student Support Services Building (SU), Room
130 prior to the vendor setting up for that day. In exchange for
payment, the vendor will receive one tablecloth for each reserved
table, up to two tables a day. The tablecloths need to be
returned at the end of the selling day and $5.00 will be returned.

Vendors who do
not make payment in full will not be allowed to return to the
Breezeway.

On the first
visit to the FAU campus all vendors must obtain a visitor’s
temporary parking pass when parking in any of the FAU parking
lots. This parking pass can be obtained at the Traffic and
Parking Department or at the Information Kiosk when you come into
the FAU, Boca Raton Campus from the Broward Avenue entrance. The
Kiosk is located immediately on the right when you enter the
campus. For subsequent visits to the FAU campus a vendor/parking
pass needs to be purchased through Traffic and Parking. As of
2.27.06 the prices for these parking passes are: $115.00 for a
year, $15.00 for a month, $10.00 for two weeks and $5.00 for one
week. This pass must be purchased and displayed prior to parking
on campus. You must go to Traffic and Parking to purchase this
pass. They are located in the Campus Operations building on the
far north side of campus, across from PBCC. They are building #
“69” on the map that you will find at this link:

of Student Development and Activities is not responsible for any
parking infractions/tickets.

Florida
Atlantic University and its Office of Student Development and
Activities assumes no liability for the quality of the goods and
services sold at vendor tables on its premises. The presence of a
vendor on the property of Florida Atlantic University does not
constitute an endorsement of the vendor or its product by the
University or Office of Student Development and Activities.
Vendor agrees not to imply by any means
that FAU is endorsing the product or activity of the Vendor.

There is no
charge for Breezeway tables for non-profit or community service
organizations.

Every
Organization/Merchant MUST check-in to the Office of Student
Development and Activities prior to setting up each morning and
check-out with the Office of Student Development and Activities
upon leaving each day. The Office of Student Development and
Activities is located in the Student Support Services Building
(SU), Room 130.
