Welcome Alumni!

The Alumni Society is excited about the growing interest from alumni to help build our Society. It looks like 2008 will finally put our Alumni Society on the map!

We look forward to providing programming and networking opportunities this year that will help us all be better advocates for our clients. We hope to build a network of professionals who can benefit from:

• Learning about job opportunities
• Locating resources for clients
• Attending professional workshops
• Growing a community of social work professionals who support each other

We ask that you stay in touch and help us to reach out to other alumni who may have missed our email communications. Tell them to email Sherry Weinschenk MSW ’07 or call her at (561) 635-1328. We’d love to grow our email list to make sure that everyone is notified when we have events on the horizon.

Upcoming Events

• 
  Salon Sessions: This year the Alumni Society will partner with Acolyte, FAU School of Social Work’s student organization, to host workshops that will focus on different therapeutic techniques. Look for information about our EMDR Salon Session to be held this fall.
• Political Event: With the upcoming presidential election, Alumni Society will work with FAU School of Social Work to host a political forum. Look for details about this event to occur in October.
• Networking Events: Alumni Society will continue to host networking events for alums to share resources and make connections.
