Are you looking for a chance to get involved on-campus? Do you want to serve as an advocate and voice for your fellow students? If so, you should take the time to run for Student Government House of Representatives or the Student Senate.   • Spring 2010 Election Timeline

    • Monday, 1/11: Declaration of Candidacy Opens at 12:00 PM
    • 1/19 - 1/20: Election and Candidacy Informational Meetings: Treasure Coast-1/19 @ 2-6:30 (walk ins), room JU113; Davie-1/20 @ 7p.m., room SD 204; Jupiter-1/20 @ 1p.m., Burrow; Boca-1/25 @ 5:30, UN 215
    • Friday, 1/29: Deadline for Declaration of Candidacy 5:00 PM
    • Tuesday, 2/2: Notification of Eligibility Disqualifications to Regular Applicants by Chair of Elections/SG Advisors
    • Wednesday, 2/3: Mandatory Candidate Meeting, 5:30 PM, Via Teleconference: Boca Campus-IS203, Davie Campus-LA150, Jupiter Campus-SR271, Treasure Coast Campus-JU335
    • Wednesday, 2/3: Campaigning Begins Following Conclusion of Mandatory Candidate Meeting
    • Monday, 2/15: Deadline for Write-in (Late – No Campaigning Permitted) Candidacy
      • Wednesday, 2/17: Notification of Eligibility Disqualifications to Write-in Candidates by Chair of Elections or SG Advisors
    • Monday, 2/15 – Thursday 2/18 Debates (Times TBA)
    • Wednesday, 2/17: Sample Ballot Public Posting to Correct Any Errors by SG Advisors
    • Friday, 2/19: Final Online Ballot Posted to eBallot System by SG Advisors
    • Sunday, 2/21: Campus Elections Board Polling Stations Campaign Boundaries Marked-Off
    • Tuesday, 2/23 and Wednesday, 2/24: Spring Election Days; Polls Open at 12:00 AM on 2/23 and Close at 11:59PM on 2/24 (3 Days of Student Voting per Revised Chapter 300 Statute)
    • Friday, 2/26: Unofficial Results Publically Posted by SG Advisors
      • Unofficial Results are Distributed to All Student Media Outlets
    • Thursday, 2/25: Campaign Expense Forms Due by All Candidates at 5:00PM
    • Friday, 2/26: Complaint and Contestation Forms Due by All Candidates at 5:00 PM
    • 3/4 – 3/5 Election Board Hearings
      • Minimum 48 Hours Notice Given for Hearings
    • 3/8 – 3/14: Spring Break, No Classes, Elections Board Office Closed
    • Tuesday, 3/15 Onward: Student Court Hearings (If Required)
    • Official Results Publically Posted Once All Complaints and Appeals are Exhausted by the Elections Board, Student Court and Student Affairs
    • 5/8-5/10 New SG Officer Training
