Kevin Petrich is the general manager of Wavelengths, the School of Communication & Multimedia Studies’s Internet radio station, featuring classical music and spoken word programming produced by students and faculty. His research and teaching interests include broadcast media’s role in the public sphere, specifically the political-economic viability and socio-cultural impact of public, community access, and other noncommercial radio and television forms. A related area of study is the telecommunications industry’s adaptation to convergence and what this portends for public communication.
