FAU offers accelerated, college-level courses for eligible PUBLIC, NON-PUBLIC and HOME EDUCATION Florida high school students. Students enrolled in post-secondary institutions that are not creditable toward the high school diploma will not be classified as dual enrollments. The dual enrollment program provides an opportunity for students to earn high school graduation credit and college credit simultaneously.
To be eligible for participation in the program, a high school student must have:

Completed their freshman year of High School,

Achieved a high school grade point average of 3.0 or higher (based upon an unweighted 4.0 scale),

Taken one of the following tests and scored at least
-
SAT: Verbal 440; Math 440 (NOT PSAT)

ACT: Reading 18: English 17; Math 19
-
CPT (Accuplacer): 83 Reading Comprehension; 83 Sentence Skills and 72 Elementary Algebra

FAU's Testing & Evaluation Office offers Accuplacer (CPT). For information contact them at 561-297-3160 or their website at http://www.fau.edu/testing/ACCUPLACER.php. This test should be taken as soon as possible. Results need to be submitted prior to or with registration forms by due date indicated on school links below. Results from a community college are also acceptable (you may take the test at PBCC, BCC, or FAU).
- Satisfied any course prerequisites
- Received approval of the high school guidance counselor or designee
Participating students are exempt from tuition and laboratory fees ONLY. Students must earn at least a "C" in all college work attempted to remain in the program. Dual enrollment students are responsible for their own transportation and any parking, traffic, and library fines incurred.

Dual enrollment students are responsible for a transportation access fee, each semester (includes parking decal) and a photo ID Owl Card fee (first semester only). Fees are due by the end of the first week of classes. The transportation access fee is a recurring charge and is charged to the student's FAU account every semester of enrollment.
Students are only allowed to register for two (2) classes up to eight (8) hours a semester.
To continue in the dual enrollment program, students must earn a grade of "C" (2.0) in each course.

Students may obtain their FAU NetID (email) after paperwork has been processed at the following link below:

Students interested in Math courses are required to take a placement test. After you have obtained your FAU NetID (email), please contact the math department at 561-297-3340.

Previous High School Dual Enrollment students eligible to continue in the program may register online at http://myfau.fau.edu Click on the high school link below that pertains to your school then go to "Previous" student section for registration information and forms needed.
REMINDERS: All high school approved courses must be indicated on completed form. You can only register for primary and alternate courses approved by your high school. Please be advised your primary choice of classes may be closed by the time you register. If FAU courses have prerequisites and you have satisfied those prerequisites at another institution or by test, please provide documentation.
