The FAU Foundation, Inc. (FAUF, Inc.) a 501 c 3 organization was established to support the educational mission of Florida Atlantic University. The FAUF, Inc. is organized and operates exclusively to receive, hold, invest, and administer private support and to make expenditures to or for the benefit of Florida Atlantic University. The mission of the FAUF, Inc. is to encourage, promote, and provide funds and other resources for the benefit of the University in furtherance of its missions and purposes and to secure the application of these funds in the manner best adapted to the needs of the University.
When you make a gift to the Treasure Coast Campus you have tremendous flexibility in determining how the funds will be used, as well as many options for making your gift. Unrestricted gifts are the most valuable because they allow the campus to allocate funds wherever the need is greatest and take advantage of unique opportunities as they arise. Your unrestricted contribution will be used to support costs associated with scholarship programs and much more.
Restricted gifts allow you to designate your gift to a specific project, program or a priority area on the campus. When you make a designated gift to FAU’s Treasure Coast Campus, you enjoy the satisfaction of knowing you are supporting a program or project that is personally meaningful to you. A named endowment is one example of using a restricted gift to create a perpetual fund to support research, specific programs, scholarships and many other areas including unrestricted purposes. The State of Florida has a matching gift program for gifts of $100,000 or more, providing donors with the opportunity to increase their gifts substantially. A similar program is available for capital construction projects, for more information contact the Development Office.
The Treasure Coast Campus Development Office facilitates annual giving, endowments, major gifts, planned gifts, gifts-in-kind and other support programs. Gifts may be given in the form of cash, securities, real estate, tangible property, gifts-in-kind and planned giving such as bequests, annuities, trusts and life insurance.
