The Division of Academic Affairs is the nucleus of the University, with responsibility for all academic programs, personnel, budgets and support units, including the University Libraries, the Registrar’s Office, Computing Services, and the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Analysis. The Division is led by the University Provost and Chief Academic Officer, Dr. John Pritchett.

Florida Atlantic University students may choose among more than 130 bachelor’s, master’s, specialist’s and doctoral degree programs offered by eight colleges: the College of Architecture, Urban and Public Affairs, the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters, the College of Business, the College of Education, the College of Engineering, the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College, the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing, and the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science.

Currently, more than 26,000 students are pursuing degrees on well-equipped, modern campuses in Boca Raton , Dania Beach , Davie , Fort Lauderdale , Jupiter and Port St. Lucie. Additionally, 20,000 men and women of retirement age are enrolled in non-credit classes offered by FAU’s Lifelong Learning Society. Distance learning technology has made FAU a university without walls, extending an ever-broadening range of educational opportunities to people around Florida , the United States and the world.

The Division of Academic Affairs upholds the highest standards of integrity and effectiveness in overseeing the University’s teaching, research and public service activities.
