Traffic and Parking to Implement New Parking Meters on June 16. - Posted June 9, 2008

Traffic and Parking is currently completing the installation of several new Pay By Space parking meters on both the Boca Raton and Jupiter campuses. Effective on the morning of Monday, June 16, the new meters will be operational. For detailed information about how to use the new machines, please see our website at www.fau.edu/parking. Please note that parking rates will remain the same.

The new meters will accept cash and credit cards, and provide parkers with receipts that have the date and time of purchase on them.

Traffic and Parking’s goal in installing the new parking meters is to reduce the frequency of people parking without paying, reduce the cost of collecting revenue and provide the university community with a greater range of options and increased convenience in paying for parking.
