Blackboard is a web-based application that facilitates use of the Internet and current communication technology for teaching and learning. Instructors can use Blackboard as the sole means of delivering their course or as a way to augment a traditional class. Blackboard is the primary vehicle that IRM supports for online classes. (The colleges of Nursing and Business use e-College for online courses, but IRM is not involved in the support of those systems.) Faculty wishing to use Blackboard for delivery of all or part of their courses must first participate in Blackboard training and then request to have their courses activated in the system. Below are other resources to help in using Blackboard in your courses.
