Vincent Encomio, Ph.D., Florida Oceanographic Society - Oyster Restoration Efforts on the Treasure Coast
About the Lecture
Oysters are a well-know delicacy, but they are also ecologically important. They serve as filters that clean the water in estuaries, such as the Indian River Lagoon. Oyster reef restoration is vital to the health and quality of our coastal waterways. Dr. Encomio leads the oyster restoration project at Florida Oceanographic Society. Learn about current oyster restoration efforts and St. Lucie River restoration.
