Office of International Programs (OIP) Internationalization Fund

August 1, 2008 – Due to FAU university budget cuts in the AY 2007-2008 and AY 2008-2009, the OIP Internationalization Fund and periodic call for applications for support has been temporarily suspended.   OIP will however endeavor to support in AY 2008-2009 a very limited number of targeted and strategic explorations (i.e. partial travel support) for a) new study abroad program development or b) new international linkages and agreements that will create student exchange or study abroad options.  Preference will be given to projects that promise to serve the areas of greatest need and multiple colleges.  The college and department initiating the proposed program and agreement initiative will be expected to contribute to the costs of the exploratory travel, and all travel is subject to justification and approval by FAU officials.  Faculty interested in pursuing strategic and priority program development activities should contact Catherine Meschievitz at 7-1039 or cmeschie@fau.edu.
