Bodies of Work: Juried Student Exhibition
Schmidt Center Gallery Public Space November 24 - December 18, 2009
Ritter Art Gallery January 16 - February 27, 2009
Bodies of Work is a juried student exhibition project that occurred in two phases beginning in Fall 2008. Juror Gean Moreno (a Miami-based critic and artist) first selected 11 students, from 35 submittals, whose works were exhibited in the Schmidt Center Gallery Public Space, an area that hundreds of students pass through daily. From this exhibition Moreno selected five of the student artists to present a full body of work in the Ritter Art Gallery. On the occasion of the exhibition opening and reception Moreno delivered a public lecture attended by 75 students and community members.
