Disbursement of Financial Aid is a function of the Controller's Office. To monitor for disbursements, log in to MyFAU and click on the Order Official Transcripts, View Grades, and Pay Fees link.  Since the check disbursement process takes several weeks, it is essential that you set aside personal funds to cover living expenses incurred during the first few weeks of classes. FAU encourages students to open a BankAtlantic  account and complete a Direct Deposit Form (located on MyFAU, click on Money Matters! tab and click on ACH Direct Deposit Online Form).

Funds will be directly deposited to the student's bank account.  Direct Deposit of funds is preferred to go to BankAtlantic accounts. However, FAU is able to directly deposit your Financial Aid disbursement/refund into your existing financial institution. Students without a direct deposit authorization will be mailed a refund check to the local address on file with the Registrar's Office.
