BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Dr. Steven S. Charlap received his M.D. at New York University School of Medicine and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He also trained as a surgeon at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC. As the founder of HealthDrive, he built the largest medical/dental practice which served five million long-term-care patients in thirteen states. First-hand experience with Americans suffering chronic disease, motivated Charlap to create and start MDPrevent where he is the Chief Service Officer. MDPrevent supports and educates how to make lifestyle changes to avoid chronic disease. His publications include Making Sense of Nursing Homes - A Guide for Families, and a new book on longevity and centenarians, which is part cookbook/longevity/nutrition guide, has been accepted for publication in Fall 2012.
