Member Registration Procedure

Members only may register online at (https://llsonline.fau.edu).  All students can register by
fax (561.297.3481 or 561.297.1028) or by mailing a check or credit card information. A credit card must be given when faxing registration. Be sure to sign the form and fill in all credit card
information and the amount to be charged. The confirmation you receive is receipt for your FAX. Please do not call the office to check if your FAX was received, unless you do not receive your confirmation within 10 days. If you register one week before the class begins or later, your tickets will be held for pickup in the lobby.

Check or credit card may be used for registration by mail. IMake checks payable to FAU/
LLS and send it to the Lifelong Learning Society at FAU, 777 Glades Rd., Bldg. 31D, Boca Raton, FL 33431-0991.

Procedure

1. Check the course(s) you want on the perforated, colored Registration Form found in the center of this course schedule book. Use one registration form per person.

2. Checks are payable to FAU/LLS, or complete the credit card information under PAYMENT OPTIONS on the Registration Form.

3. If you wish to become a new member, fill out the New Membership Form in the course schedule or by clicking on the above link.

4. IF YOU ARE PAYING BY CHECK, you must include a University Fee for Parking, Safety and Maintenance, your registration fees and dues (if you choose to become a member). The Registration Form must be signed.

5. Note your local and out-of-state addresses, your community name and current email address on the Registration Form. Tell us the date you expect to arrive in Florida and the date you plan to leave.

6. Lifetime members do not pay an annual membership fee. (Lifetime memberships are no longer available.)

Membership dues are optional and are $35 per student. Memberships are effective through June 30, 2011. Both membership dues and the University fee for parking, safety and maintenance are non-refundable. Early registration and lower course fees are some of the benefits of membership.

Member/Non-Member Walk-in Registrations:
Beginning September 13, three weeks prior to the start of classes, members and non-members may register in person by coming to the LLS office, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. We are located on the 2nd floor of the Continuing Education Hall, adjacent to the Barry and Florence Friedberg Lifelong Learning Auditorium. Registrations WILL NOT be accepted in the office before this date. NO EXCEPTIONS. Non-member registrations sent in prior to this date will not be processed until September 13, if classroom space is available.

Checklist For Registration

1. Please be sure to include your LLS Member # on your form.
   It can be found above your name and address on the label on your course schedule.
   
   
2. Make sure to fill in your full address, including zip code.
   
   
3. If you have an e-mail address, please include it on your forms.
   
   
4. Sign your check or complete all credit card information on the registration sheet.
   Sign the form regardless of payment method.
   
   
5.  Check the total amount owed for accuracy.
   
   
6.  The registration form must have class choices correctly marked.
   
   
7.  DO NOT include annual dues if you are a lifetime member.
   
   
8.  New memberships will be effective through June 30, 2011.
   
   
9.  Do not put MEMBER registrations and NON-MEMBER registrations on the same form
   or check. A member/non-member registration on the same form will delay registration for the member until non-member registrations begin processing on September 13, 2010.
   
   
10.  Separate checks must be used for students with different last names.
    (Only spouses may combine memberships and registrations on one check.)
    
    
11.  Be sure to complete the traffic department’s section on the registration form and include the university fee as part of your total remittance to LLS. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A VEHICLE, please state this on your registration form, or it will hold up your registration. Payment of the fee is required whether you have a vehicle or not.
    
    
12. The registration form MUST be signed. Online registration is available for members only at https://llsonline.fau.edu.
