Every student admitted to the Wilkes Honors College is awarded a merit-based scholarship.
Most of these awards are made at the time of admission and are based on a review of the application materials. Refer to the table below for details. Questions concerning these awards may be directed to the Office of Admissions. See also our Financial Aid/Scholarships page.


   
SCHOLARSHIP
MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
ANNUAL AWARD*
Henry Morrison Flagler Scholarship
  Incoming freshman, Florida resident, outstanding record, and interview.   Up to $11,500 per year plus 4 summer enrichment programs.
National Science Foundation Science Scholarships
  Must be a Biology or Chemistry Major, and have financial need. Students must fill out a FAFSA form, online at www.FAFSA.ed.gov

  Up to $10,000 per year for up to 4 years.
Dean's Scholarship
  National Merit, National Achievement, or National Hispanic Finalist.   $7,500 per year
International Baccalaureate/AICE Awards (up to 7 available)   Incoming freshman, completion of the International Baccalaureate or AICE Diploma, recommendation of the IB/AICE coordinator/counselor.   $5,000 per year
Leadership Awards   Incoming freshman, outstanding leadership experience, and interview.   Up to $5,000 per year
Honors Scholarship   Admission to the Honors College.   Up to $5,000 per year
* Freshman awards are renewable for an additional three years.

Tuition Waivers

We have a limited number of tuition waivers available to non-Florida residents.
Applicants interested in these are strongly encouraged to apply early for admission; all eligible students are automatically considered. Wilkes Honors College Tuition Waiver Information (pdf)


Need-based Financial Aid

In addition to awarding academic scholarships based on merit, the Wilkes Honors College can assist students in receiving additional financial aid based on need.
