Cara Capp

Cara Capp is a second year graduate student with the School of Urban and Regional Planning whose interests include environmental planning and social sustainability. Planning to graduate in May 2010, Cara hopes to work toward creating more livable, sustainable communities.

Karl Bursa

FAPS Vice President
Karl Bursa, kbursa@fau.edu

Karl is a graduate student with SURP and the FAPS Vice President. Karl's interests are post-petroleum/carbon planning, mobility studies, and planning issues in coastal areas.   Currently, Karl is an Excellence in Planning Fellow assigned to Professor Yanmei Li, with whom he is examining the foreclosure crisis and the effectiveness of neighborhood stabilization programs.

FAPS Water Clean-up Coordinator
Yexsy Schomberg, yschombe@fau.edu 

Yexsy is a senior Urban & Regional Planning student whose interests include environmental policies and social-environmental justice.  She is the 2009-2010 FAPS Water Clean-Up Coordinator, member of the Golden Key Honors society, and FAU President’s List Honoree.

Chelsea Eagan

FAPS Chief of Staff
Chelsea Eagan, ceagan1@fau.edu

Chelsea Eagan was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, FL and will graduate with her Bachelors in Urban and Regional Planning in the spring of 2010.  She plans to work towards getting her Masters in either Urban and Regional Planning or Landscape Architecture.  Other interests include traveling, photography, and learning new things.

Landon Hoyt

FAPS Treasurer
Landon Hoyt, lhoyt4@fau.edu

Landon Hoyt was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. He attended Georgia Tech in Atlanta for his first two years of undergraduate, studying civil engineering and public policy. He transferred to FAU in 2008 to pursue his bachelor's in Urban Planning. Landon hopes to continue obtain his graduate degree in a related field as well.

Diana Mendosa

FAPS Secretary
Diana Mendoza, dmendoz3@fau.edu

Diana is originally from Bogota, Colombia. Currently she is an intern at the Broward County Division of Air Quality and Growth Management. Her current career goal is to earn her first bachelors’ degree at FAU School of Urban and Regional Planning, learn more about professional work ethics, and combine her passion for learning and working with people in order to become a successful professional planner. As a senior under-graduate student, and as secretary of FAPS, she wishes to expand and maintain the communication link between students, faculty and staff to enhance and improve the quality of FAU’s educational and professional atmosphere.
