BILLING STATEMENTS
Currently Enrolled Students
- A monthly billing statement reminder will be sent to a student’s MyFAU e-mail account if there is an outstanding balance. It is imperative that a student does not ignore his/her responsibility; doing so could result in unnecessary charges and disruptions in his/her academic career.
- Florida Atlantic University’s E-mail Policy: http://www.fau.edu/controller/student_information/fau_email_policy.php
Non-Currently Enrolled Students
Delinquent Accounts Receivable
- Students are expected to take responsibility for being aware of payment deadlines and policies, financial aid distribution policies, and debts owed. The account summary information is current and it’s accessible seven days a week at https://myfau.fau.edu/cp/home/displaylogin. For that reason, the University does not bill for tuition.
- A student becomes liable for tuition upon registration of classes therefore, it is imperative that a student familiarize himself/herself with the University’s Academic Calendar for pertinent deadline information at http://www.fau.edu/registrar/acadcal.php
HOLDS
- A registration hold for “Past Due A/R” is placed on all students who have outstanding balance owed to the University. Students owing any amount are not permitted to register for classes. The hold will not be removed and such students will not be permitted to register until the debt is paid in full.
- A transcript hold for “Past Due A/R’ is place on all students who have outstanding balance owed to the University. Students owing any amount will be unable to obtain an official university transcript until such debt is paid in full.
- Student Billing acts as a central billing agent for many University departments. Some examples of account receivable charges would be pharmacy; parking tickets; library fines; and housing charges. Questions regarding these charges should be addressed to the place of origin; e.g. housing department for housing charges and university library for library fines.
