FAU Holds Symposium on Women and Judaism
BOCA RATON (December 20, 2005) - Florida Atlantic University will hold its Gimelstob Symposium entitled "New Scholarship on Women and Judaism" on Sunday, February 19 from noon. to 10 p.m. and Monday, February 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The symposium will be held in the Live Oak Pavilion of the University Center on FAU's Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road. The registration fee is $25 and includes lunch on Monday. Deadline for registration is February 1, 2006. The symposium will include sessions on several different topics including "Jewish Women in Antiquity," "The Middle Ages and the Schtetl," "Literature, Authors and Characters," "Contemporary Life," and "Religious Issues." The sessions will be moderated by faculty at FAU and will include lectures by scholars from around the country.
