FAU Student Film Club Announces Inaugural
"FAU Film Festival"
BOCA RATON, FL (October 17, 2005) - Florida Atlantic University's Film Production Club is proud to announce its inaugural Film Festival which will take place Friday, October 21 at 6:45 p.m. in the University Theatre on FAU's Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road. The event is free and open to the public.
The festival will include the premiere of the club's latest films: "The Eternal Sleep," "Lucky," and "Highway Willoby." It will also include a showing of the club's first production "Re:Percussions" and "The New Epidemic" music video. The films range from 15 to 30 minutes each and the festival will last approximately 2 ½ hours.
"We are very excited to offer this festival to the FAU student body as well as the local community," said Christopher Bolender, the club's president. "The festival offers an eclectic mix of topics and genres and is an excellent opportunity to see unique films."
Seating is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Some of the films contain mild violence and profanity so parental discretion is advised. Food and drinks are prohibited in the theatre.
The event marks the two-year anniversary of the FAU Film Production club, a student-run organization that produces short films and other video productions. It is open to all currently-enrolled FAU students and is funded by FAU Student Government. For more information about the event, call the Department of Communication at 561-297-3850.
