FAU Welcomes Students to Residence Halls
BOCA RATON, FL (August 15, 2005) - In a few days, Florida Atlantic University students will begin moving in to their residence halls, for many, a first time experience. Approximately 2,250 students will be living on campus this year, including 1,910 on the Boca Raton campus and 340 on the John D. MacArthur campus in Jupiter. In what has become an annual tradition, President Frank T. Brogan will welcome students and parents to FAU's residence halls on Tuesday, August 16 beginning at 8:30 a.m. on the Jupiter campus, 5353 Parkside Drive, and Wednesday, August 17 beginning at 12:30 p.m. on the Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road.
FAU residence halls are fully equipped with high-speed data ports for each person living in the halls. In addition, all rooms are wired for cable television and telephones. Every floor has a study lounges with data ports and cable television. There is also a study room for the students. In addition, there are computer labs and classrooms where classes may be held. In the computer labs, students are able to access the internet, their university e-mail accounts, and all FAU on-line materials and information.
