FAU to Host Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for the Florida Unit of the RFB&D Learning Through Listening® Studio
BOCA RATON, FL (March 28, 2005) - Florida Atlantic University will celebrate the completion of the Gladys L. Davis Pavilion - Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic (RFB&D) and welcome its staff to their new "home" on the Boca Raton campus during a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The newly dedicated facility will serve as a fully equipped recording studio where volunteers will record textbooks on CDs for persons with vision, learning or physical impairments. The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, March 30 at 3:30 p.m. at the Gladys L. Davis Pavilion - Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic on FAU's Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road.
The Florida Unit of the RFB&D Learning Through Listening® is a chapter of the nationally based organization. Since 1958, this unique organization has successfully supported the education of print-disabled students who would otherwise be denied the means to reach their full academic and personal potential.
