FAU Hosts Open House for High School Students Ready to Explore the Field of Ocean Engineering
DANIA BEACH, FL (March 15, 2005) - Florida Atlantic University will host high school students interested in undergraduate programs related to ocean engineering at an open house on Saturday, March 19 from noon - 3 p.m. at FAU's SeaTech campus, 101 North Beach Road, Dania Beach. Students will learn of SeaTech's role in the development of new technologies to explore the sea, homeland security for ports and harbors, the development of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) and many other topics.
FAU's Department of Ocean Engineering is dedicated to providing excellence in education. Founded in 1965, its ABET-accredited undergraduate program is the oldest and among the largest in the nation. For more information on FAU's ocean engineering program, visit www.oe.fau.edu.
