FAU Hosts Eppy Financial Group to Speak at Autism Lecture Series

BOCA RATON, FL (February 7, 2005) - Florida Atlantic University's Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD) presents Joe Eppy and Lisa Kline Goldstein, esquires of the Eppy Financial Group, to speak on Tuesday, February 8 as part of CARD's Autism Spring Lecture Series. Their lecture will focus on the basics of financial and estate planning for families of children with autism spectrum disorders.

The lecture will begin on Tuesday, February 8 at 7 p.m. at FAU's Boca Raton campus, University Center, Majestic Palm Room, 777 Glades Rd.

Eppy is president of Eppy Financial Group, Inc., founded in 1993. He is on the Advisory Board of the American Friends of Hebrew University, Foundation Board of B'nai Torah Congregation and an active sponsor of National Alliance for Autism Research and Special Olympics. Eppy has given numerous seminars on special needs planning throughout Florida.

Goldstein has been in practice since 1976, starting as an attorney in Broward County. After six years in private practice with an emphasis on estate planning, she was selected to become the first public guardian in Broward County's history, running a model state agency designed to advocate and protect indigent, incapacitated people. Goldstein is formerly the chair of the guardianship committee of the elder law section of the Florida Bar. The late Governor Lawton Chiles appointed her to sit on the Guardianship Oversight Board.
