FAU Names Terry Mohajir Associate Athletics Director for Development
BOCA RATON, FL (February 4, 2005) - Florida Atlantic University recently named Terry Mohajir associate athletics director for development at FAU. Serving University Advancement, he will spearhead fund-raising activities for FAU Athletics.
"Terry is well-positioned to bring the athletics program and its fund-raising initiatives to the next level," said Ann Paton, vice president of University Advancement. "He brings to FAU tremendous energy and important experience in the administration of university athletics."
Mohajir previously served as assistant athletics director for external relations at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) from 1999 through 2004. In addition to handling all marketing and promotions, sports information, media contracts, corporate sales, ticket and event operations, Mohajir managed and solicited all major gifts, gift planning and facility fund-raising projects. He was responsible for a 450 percent increase in the educational athletics endowment at UMKC and oversaw an 80 percent increase in sponsorship renewal and an 89 percent upswing in the athletic fund donor base. Mohajir previously served as UMKC's director of athletics advancement.
A 1993 graduate of Arkansas State University with a degree in athletic administration, Mohajir earned a master's degree in athletics administration and sports psychology from the University of Kansas.

"I'm really looking forward to collaborating with all of the individuals who have helped build the program's solid foundation. I hope to have an impact as we move forward to pursue our athletic and academic goals."
