BOCA RATON, FL (October 6, 2004) - The Florida Atlantic University Police Department will host a number of events this month to honor October's Fire Prevention Week and Red Ribbon Week. These events will occur at the A.D. Henderson School, 777 Glades Road. The events include:

Fire Prevention Week - A fire truck will be on location to aid students in kindergarten through the second grade with knowledge on how to prevent fires. This event will be held on Thursday, October 7 at 9 a.m.
Red Ribbon Week - The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office will join FAU in hosting a K-9 dog demonstration for all students at the A.D. Henderson School. This will be held on Monday, October 25 at 9 a.m.
