FAU's Center for Urban & Environmental Solutions Presents Charles Bohl Lecture
"Place Making: What Will Suburbs Be When They Grow Up?"
JUPITER, FL (October 13, 2004) - Florida Atlantic University's Center for Urban & Environmental Solutions will present architect and author Charles Bohl on Wednesday, October 20 at 7 p.m. in the MacArthur Auditorium, 5353 Parkside Drive, Jupiter. Jordan will speak on "Place Making: What Will Suburbs Be When They Grow Up?" This lecture is free and open to the public.
Bohl assists design professionals and others in navigating the unique issues and options arising from the development of town centers and urban villages that include a mix of uses in a pedestrian friendly setting. Bohl specializes in custom residential design, historic preservation and interior design. He also participated in institutional, educational, office, retail, hospitality and urban planning projects. For his work, Bohl has received awards from the American Institute of Architects, The Maryland Historical Trust, the Anne Arundel County Trust for Preservation and the Federal Department of Education.
