FAU Hosts Information Sessions for MBASport Program
BOCA RATON, FL (October 11, 2004) - Florida Atlantic University's MBA in Sports Management Program will host two information sessions this fall for individuals interested in obtaining a master's degree in sports management. Each information session will discuss the MBASport program and curriculum, admission requirements, the business of sports and potential internships available for students in the program.
The information sessions will take place Friday, October 29 at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 30th at 10 a.m. in room 1110 of the HEC building, Downtown Ft. Lauderdale campus.
FAU offers the only Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International-accredited MBA in Sports Management degree in Florida. It is a pure business-oriented curriculum for full-time students only. The program blends a rigorous business curriculum with a 12-credit specialization in which students study such topics as sports marketing, sports law and the financial aspects of sports management. The program is practitioner-oriented and encourages students to participate in out-of-classroom practical experiences at local and regional sports and entertainment entities. MBASport is geared toward those who wish to become managers and business executives in the sports and entertainment industry.
Visit the MBASport website (http://www.fau.edu/mbasport) for further program details. For more information or to register for this free event, contact Angela Quintero at 954-762-5035 or aquinte1@fau.edu.
