FAU Offers Executive Education Programs
BOCA RATON, FL (August 27, 2004) - Florida Atlantic University's College of Business has entered into an exciting partnership with the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto, allowing the Office of Executive Education at FAU to offer a number of courses and certificate programs.
The most comprehensive of these courses and programs is the Professional Certificate in Project Management which can be completed on FAU's Boca Raton campus in four months. Project Management is becoming one of the world's most in-demand skill sets and is one of the fastest growing professional disciplines. The certificate program is aimed at managers who routinely direct projects, and desire further training in making the project flow more efficiently and effectively, reducing the number of tasks necessary to complete projects, and analyzing the impact of the project on value added, sales growth, market share, return on investment and customer and employee satisfaction.
Additional courses that are scheduled as a result of this partnership include Facilitative Leadership, Finance for Non-Financial Managers, Financial Analysis and Control, Leveraging Your Leadership, Negotiating for Success in Business, Successfully Managing People and the Project Management Course (a shorter version of the Project Management Certificate). Courses will be offered on FAU's Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale campus.
The Schulich School of Business at York University is ranked first in Canada, according to a survey of the world's top 100 MBA programs by the Economist Intelligence Unit, a division of The Economist. The Financial Times of London, Business Week and Forbes also rank Schulich as one of the top ten schools in the world outside the United States. To date, York University has partnered with eight Canadian universities, as well as the University of Texas, University of North Carolina, Syracuse University and Florida Atlantic University in the United States.
