BOCA RATON, FL (August 25, 2004) - Florida Atlantic University's University Club held a brunch in honor of Mary Dean, a development officer in the Division of University Advancement who will retire from FAU after 10 years. During her years at FAU, Dean's duties have included serving as a liaison between the University Club and FAU, and assisting in the planning and implementation of the organization's fundraising projects.

Attending the festivities, which included a friendly "roast," were past University Club presidents Joyce Ivesdal, Sarah Bialy and Regina Vetto, each of whom served the club during the last ten years. Current President Alene Brewer was master of ceremonies. Under the leadership of these club presidents, more than $200,000 has been raised and donated to the FAU Libraries and scholarship programs.
