Scholarship Fund to Benefit FAU Nursing Students
BOCA RATON, FL (June 22, 2004) - The Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing is pleased to announce the second Mathew Forbes Romer Foundation-Roberta Meyers Nursing Scholarship. The scholarship fund was created to support undergraduate nursing students who intend to practice or who are currently practicing nursing with children. The Mathew Forbes Romer Foundation was created in 1998 to help promote and lead critical awareness, testing, counseling and research initiatives that hold promise for the prevention and eventual cure of fatal children's genetic diseases of the brain.
"The scholarships generated from the Mathew Forbes Romer Foundation will support several of our students who will make a difference in the lives of children they are privileged to nurse, especially those with genetic disorders," said Anne Boykin, dean of FAU's Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing. "We look forward to supporting the goals of this Foundation through education and eventually nursing research."
