Hosts Lecture by Nancy Brinker Former Ambassador to Hungary Participates in
Honors College Speakers Forum JUPITER,
FL (March 3, 2004) - Florida Atlantic University's
Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College presents Nancy Brinker, former ambassador to
Hungary, as part of its Speakers Forum on Friday, March 5 at 1 p.m. in the MacArthur
Auditorium, 5353 Parkside Drive, Jupiter.
Brinker is the founder of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, the Komen
Race for the Cure and former ambassador to Hungary. In addition to being a leading
catalyst in the fight against cancer, Brinker has served on numerous national
boards concerned with health, public policy and women's issues. She is the recipient
of several national awards, including the Ladies Home Journal 100 Most Important
Women of the 20th Century, Smith Barney's Extraordinary Achievement Award and
the CDC's Champion of Prevention Award.
Tickets are $10 per person. Reservations for the lecture are suggested, as seating
