DESCRIPTION: Carmel was a program coordinator and moderator at the panel discussion with two deaf survivors under the special program on the "Nazi Persecution of Deaf People" at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, held during the week of the Jewish Deaf Congress Conference in Washington, D.C. in the summer of 2001.
The Holocaust and Judaic Lectures are sponsored by Dr. Alan L. Berger, Raddock Eminent Scholar and Chair of Holocaust Studies at FAU's Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters.
