FAU UNIVERSITY CLUB HOLDS RECEPTION FOR PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS

BOCA RATON, FL (October 6, 2003) - The Founders Lounge in Florida Atlantic University's Oxley Athletic Center provided an amicable setting for a reception hosted by the University Club for members and prospective members. Special guests attending the event were FAU President Frank T. Brogan; Head Football Coach Howard Schnellenberger; Craig Angelos, FAU's athletic director; Kristen Hitchcok, 2003/04 recipient of the University Club's Presidential Scholarship, and Dr. David S. Pena, recipient of the Club's Library Fellowship.

The University Club, founded in 1976 and known then as the Volunteer League, develops and implements fundraising projects and encourages its members to give of their time, talent and energy to help achieve the goals of the University.

Membership in the University Club is open to all wishing to support FAU. Dues are $50 annually. Those interested in becoming members are encouraged to call Harriet Steffen at 561-297-2137 for a brochure and application.
