WHAT: Grand Opening of FAU's Hoot Recording Studio
Florida Atlantic University to hold grand opening of its state-of-the-art recording studio. The studio will be home to FAU's Hoot Recordings, which is the first student run recording label at any University in the United States.
The event will include tours of the studio and the pre-recording studio, a recording session, live music and a chance to meet the artists.
WHEN: Thursday, October 23, 4:30 p.m.
WHERE: Arts and Letters Building, Room 189

DIRECTIONS: From I-95, exit at Glades Road. Go east on Glades Road to the first entrance of Florida Atlantic University. Turn left on Broward Avenue and pass the information booth. Take the first right on Indian River Street. Continue to Palm Beach Avenue (look for "Theatres & Galleries" sign). Take a left and park on the left.
From parking lot, walk straight past the Performing Arts Building (white bell tower), past the marble wall (University Theatre on hill above), and straight into a building directly in front of you - Schmidt Center for Arts and Humanities. Enter double doors and take a left down hallway - through two more sets of doors, and out of building. Bear left, walking under an over-hang and enter the next building - Arts and Letters Building. Turn left at long hallway - at end, Room 189 will be on your right. There will be signs and student guides.
Parking: Free parking is available adjacent to the Performing Arts Building.
