FAU Hosting Open House on Treasure Coast Campus
PORT ST. LUCIE, FL (October 20, 2003) - Florida Atlantic University's Treasure Coast Campus will be hosting an open house on Saturday, November 1 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visitors will be able to speak with faculty and staff and learn more about the campus's upper-division degree programs, including nursing, education, psychology, business, criminal justice, computer science, arts and humanities and social work. Representatives will also be available to discuss marine science courses offered through the unique FAU/Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution partnership.
Academic counselors will provide information on financial aid and help visitors with a minimum of 60 credit hours apply for admission. In order to apply for admission at the open house, official transcripts, a $20 check or money order and a completed application must be submitted. A.J. Chase, assistant dean of student affairs at the campus, encourages those interested in continuing their higher education to attend, "This is a great opportunity to get valuable information on the programs and services we offer and prepare for FAU's spring semester beginning January 7."
FAU's Treasure Coast Campus is located at 500 NW California Blvd., St. Lucie West. The open house will be held on the first floor of the JU Building. For more information, call 772-873-3301.
