FAU Career Development Center - Resource for FAU Students and Alumni
BOCA RATON, FL (September 26, 2003) - Florida Atlantic University provides access to outstanding academic programs, opportunities for research and extra curricular activities. In addition to this, one of the many services available to FAU students and alumni is the FAU Career Development Center (CDC). The CDC makes accessible to the FAU community a number of tools and special events to assist in recruitment.
One special event that is sponsored through the CDC is "Career Day." Offered in the spring and fall, the event brings together students and alumni with perspective employers. Companies attending the event range from technical to non-technical, retail to accounting and other industries. This year, representatives from FPL, State Farm Insurance, Office Depot, Ernst & Young, McGladrey & Pullen, Citrix, Raytheon, Target Stores, and the Drug Enforcement Administration will be on hand to meet with the FAU community. This event will occur September 30 on FAU's Boca Raton Campus, 777 Glades Road.
A number of other services are available to those that use the Center. The CDC posts job listings, Co-op's and internships, hosts a national on-campus recruiting program, graduate professional school day, an alumni career mentors program and graduate networking events. In addition, the CDC conducts special workshops in which students and alumni may participate in practice interviews, resume critiques, etiquette dining seminars and learn to dress for success, in addition to a number of other career management programs.
To get more information on "Career Day" or any other activities occurring at the CDC, you may call the Center at 561-297-3533 or visit www.cdc.fau.edu.
