New Scholarships Awarded to FAU Accounting Students

BOCA RATON, FL (September 10, 2003) - Florida Atlantic University's School of Accounting, housed in the College of Business, has awarded scholarships to two accounting majors.

Vinette Hall was awarded a Becker-Conviser scholarship, which will assist her in her final preparation work for the Certified Public Accountant exam in November. Also, Cherry Lam was awarded a scholarship by the Institute of Internal Auditors to prepare her for the Certified Internal Auditor exam. The combined value of the two scholarships totals over $3,000.

"These scholarships are significant in helping these students further their career goals," said Dan Hinchliffe, an instructor in the School of Accounting. "We work closely with the community to create scholarship opportunities for our deserving students, and we encourage community members and businesses to consider creating scholarships for other deserving students."
