FAU Honors College Speakers Forum Presents National Expert on Adolescent Behavior
JUPITER, FL (August 25, 2003) - The Speakers Forum of Florida Atlantic University's Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College will present Dr. David Kolko, nationally known expert in the areas of juvenile offenders and victims of violence. The one-hour lecture will be held on FAU's Jupiter campus in the MacArthur Auditorium on Friday, August 29 at 1 p.m. Dr. Kolko's topics will include children who set fires and adolescent sex offenders.
David Kolko, Ph.D., has been at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine for 20 years where he is a professor of psychiatry, psychology and pediatrics. He is director of the special services unit at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, a treatment research program for youth referred by various juvenile court systems. He is a core faculty member on the Pre-Doctoral Clinical Psychology Internship Committee, the Psychology Discipline Committee, the Academic Promotions Committee and the University's Institutional Review Board. He is also consultant for the Pittsburgh Child Advocacy Center at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
