FAU Offers Certificate In Human Resource Management On Jupiter Campus

JUPITER, FL (June 6, 2003) - Florida Atlantic University's Open University & Continuing Education division will offer the Human Resource Management (HRM) certificate program this summer at the John D. MacArthur campus located at 5353 Parkside Drive, Jupiter. Classes begin on Monday, July 7, 2003.

The program is designed for those new to the human resource field or anyone wishing to refresh their expertise in Human Resource Management (HRM). Staff recruiters and managers will find this course especially helpful even if they specialize in only one HRM area. The program includes information on the changing environment in the human resources field and the role of globalization in HRM policy and practice. Also included are topics in Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), work analysis and design, planning and recruitment, personnel selection, performance management, appraisal, training and development, compensation, labor relations and employee health & safety.

The HRM certificate program runs for five consecutive weeks on Mondays and Thursdays from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m., July 7 through August 7, 2003. The cost is $529 and includes textbook and materials.
