FAU To Host Information Sessions On MBA Programs
Focus : Crisis & Emergency Management, Environmental Management
BOCA RATON, FL (April 17, 2003) - Florida Atlantic University will host an information session on April 19th at 9:30 a.m. for individuals interested in obtaining a master's degree with a discipline in either Crisis & Emergency Management or Environmental Management. The session will be held at FAU's Boca Raton Campus, 777 Glades Road, Administration Building.
The informational session will present information about the programs, its curriculums, the industries, admission requirements and more.
The MBA in Crisis & Emergency Management is designed to prepare managers in coping with emergencies, disasters and unexpected crises in corporate organizations. It will train individuals in risk assessment, its mitigation to minimize the adverse impact on survival and continuity of the organization. It adapts models and materials from the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) curriculum.
The foundation of the MBA in Environmental Management is to provide a formal learning experience in the environmental business management field, to provide managers with the skills to meet stakeholder needs, and to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and research findings in the high technology environmental business fields for the future. The program covers current and future compliance needs while helping business managers establish a competitive edge
Both program classes meet approximately every third weekend at the FAU Boca Raton campus and a portion of these programs are delivered through distance learning by way of teleconferencing and web based instruction. This delivery system was designed to enable students to complete the degree in only 15 months and to minimize interference with full time employment.
