BOCA RATON, FL (October 11, 2006) – Florida Atlantic University’s Women’s Studies Center in the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters is hosting Fatima Amrani Zerrifi, a Fulbright Scholar from Fes University in Morocco, to talk to student and community groups about topics such as gender equity in Islam and the culture of Morocco. Amrani is visiting FAU as part of the Fulbright “Direct Access to the Muslim World” program in which scholars from Muslim countries are sponsored for travel to promote understanding of Islam.
