BOCA RATON, FL (September 25, 2006) – Florida Atlantic University’s Department of Political Science and the Middle East and National Security Organization will present a free lecture titled, “Israel and Hizbollah: Crisis Beyond the Media” on Tuesday, September 26 at 6:30 p.m. in the Senate Chambers of the University Center on FAU’s Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road. The lecture will be presented by Robert Rabil, assistant professor and director of graduate studies in political science at FAU. Rabil was in Lebanon during the recent eruption of hostilities, and his lecture will include information beyond what is provided in the media.
Rabil is the author of “Embattled Neighbors: Syria, Israel, and Lebanon” (2003) and “Syria, the United States, and the War on Terror in the Middle East” (2006). He has also been published in many major academic journals and newspapers, as well as appearing frequently on television as a commentator on issues regarding the Middle East.
