BOCA RATON, FL (June 12, 2006) – The Heritage Park Retirement Communities of Delray Beach and its CEO and general partner Robert Schemel honored their nursing staff during last month's National Nurses Week by donating $500 for scholarship programs in the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing at Florida Atlantic University. For the many FAU nursing students who rely upon scholarship support, this donation from nurses to future nurses is especially meaningful.
“Many of our nurses are new graduates and have just completed their boards,” explained Mary Pastick, vice president of facilities operations for Heritage Park Retirement Communities. "It means so much to them to be able to help students who need financial assistance while pursuing their nursing degrees. We chose FAU’s nursing college because we share a commitment to the profession and a dedication to providing compassionate patient care.”
